Mindful ballet

Many people carry a quiet curiosity about ballet, perhaps something they wished to try as a child but never had the chance.

Mindful Ballet offers a welcoming space to explore this beautiful movement form while supporting your wellbeing and vitality.

Come and experience the joy of movement, the energy of music, and the simple magic of dancing through space.

Rather than focusing on performance or perfection, we will explore ballet as a mindful and expressive movement practice where posture, breath, and awareness guide the experience.

Through simple exercises, you will learn foundational ballet movements while cultivating balance, coordination and a deeper connection between body and mind.

Moving to beautiful music, you will experience the pleasure of travelling through space with intention and grace.

No previous dance experience is needed.

Why mindful ballet?

Ballet contains a rich vocabulary of movement that can support both physical health and mental wellbeing.

Practised mindfully, ballet can help:

• improve posture and body alignment
• strengthen balance, coordination and mobility
• increase energy and circulation
• support focus and mental clarity
• build confidence in movement
• bring enjoyment and vitality through music and motion

Plus, it is alot of fun!

You will leave class feeling refreshed, uplifted and more connected to your body.

A welcoming and inclusive approach

Mindful Ballet is for adults from all walks of life who are curious about exploring ballet in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Whether you are exploring ballet for the first time, returning to movement after a break, or simply curious about the joy of dance, you are welcome.

It was a truly enjoyable & refreshing experience. I loved that we were moving throughout and Jia’s instructions were easy to understand and apply.
